My name is Kaneez Osman, and I am a qualified counsellor dedicated to supporting individuals through a compassionate, culturally aware, and faithaligned therapeutic approach. As The Muslim Counsellor, I offer a safe and confidential space where you can explore your emotions, experiences, and challenges without fear of judgement or misunderstanding. My practice is rooted in the belief that emotional wellbeing and spiritual wellbeing are deeply connected, and I work in a way that honours both your personal journey and your Islamic values.
I support clients with a range of concerns, including anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, identity issues, trauma, and periods of spiritual disconnection. My approach is gentle, collaborative, and tailored to your needs, allowing you to move at your own pace while developing clarity, resilience, and selfunderstanding. Whether you are seeking healing, direction, or simply someone to talk to, I am here to walk alongside you with empathy, respect, and sincerity
Experience
I have built my counselling experience around supporting individuals who want a space that honours both their emotional wellbeing and their Islamic values. My work has involved helping clients navigate a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, identity concerns, trauma, and periods of spiritual disconnection. I have experience working with adults from diverse cultural backgrounds, with a particular focus on clients who feel more comfortable with a counsellor who understands Muslim identity, faithbased struggles, and the nuances of community expectations.
My practice is grounded in empathy, confidentiality, and a gentle, collaborative approach. I draw on established therapeutic models while integrating an understanding of Islamic principles where appropriate, allowing clients to explore their experiences in a way that feels authentic and respectful. Over time, I have supported many individuals in developing resilience, clarity, and a stronger sense of self, helping them move toward emotional balance and spiritual alignment

Initial Consultation
Your first session with me is a gentle introduction to the counselling process. We take time to get to know each other, explore what has brought you here, and discuss what you hope to gain from therapy. There is no pressure to share everything at once you set the pace, and I follow your comfort level. I explain how I work, what confidentiality means, and how we can create a space that feels safe, respectful, and aligned with your faith and values. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, express any concerns, and get a sense of whether my approach feels right for you. My aim is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and a little lighter
